Update on the Manwarings

The Monday before Thanksgiving Ben and I went to the Forgotten Carols! We have gone every year since we have been married except last year. It always helps us get into the Christmas Spirit.

For Thanksgiving it was busy as usual with both families here in Idaho Falls we tend to get 2 dinners every year. It was the Manwaring family “off” year so the dinner included only 9 adults and 3 children. It was the quietest Thanksgiving dinner I have ever been too, but also nice and relaxing with great food. Then it was off to the Murdock Dinner which was at 5:30 since my parents were serving at the Temple Visitor’s Center until 3:00. This dinner wasn’t nearly as quiet with nearly 30 people. All but 2 of my brothers and families were able to come. I was able to make apple pie filling with my mom the week before and apple pies for Thanksgiving thanks to my mom’s good recipes. They turned out really good!

So far this month (Dec) we have been really busy. Saturday I had to go to our stake baptism at 9 then at 10:00 we had two nieces (Dania- Daren’s Daughter & Halle- Jarom’s)getting baptized (Ben and I had to split up for the two). Besides going to 3 hours of church on a Saturday morning it was really fun watching all the excited 8 year olds. It is always a good reminder of the excitement I remember feeling when I was baptized!

Last weekend Amber found a cute craft for the girls to do so we got together to make them and they turned out great- Countdown to Christmas! Thanks Amber for the fun idea!!
